Darby sold on Seminoles
OXON HILL -- With three baseball caps in front of him and his family beside him, Ron Darby fidgeted anxiously at the front of a jammed gymnasium on National Signing Day. The ESPNU television cameras and hundreds and hundreds of eyes were trained on him, waiting for him to announce his college decision.
After a few brief delays, the four-star Potomac (Md.) High cornerback gave a few nervous laughs, reached for the burgundy and gold hat on his left and gave an emphatic War Chant chop. Then he flashed his signature smile and thrust the cap on his head, letting the nation know he was now a Florida State Seminole.
