The Louisville basketball team opened the season Sunday with a 79-51 win over Manhattan at the KFC Yum Center. Russ Smith led the Cards with 23 points and Peyton Siva added 10, but the game was highlighted most by defense. Louisville forced 27 Manhattan turnovers as Smith was credited with 5 steals.
