Although the class of 2013 recruiting is at a fever pitch with signing day creeping closer, it's never too early for the coaches to begin work on next year's cycle and a talented athlete from Deerfield Beach (Fla.) recently picked up a verbal offer from West Virginia.

Brandon Powell, 5-foot-9, 175-pounds, add the Mountaineers to a list that already includes Indiana, Purdue, Marshall and Massachusetts, and the junior is getting even more attention from programs such as Florida State and Tennessee.
