The No. 2 seed Cards (26-5, 14-4) will play on Thursday (7 p.m.) against the winner of Wednesday's game (7 p.m.) between No. 7 Villanova (19-12, 10-8) and No. 10 St. John's (16-14, 8-10).

That figures to be Villanova, which beat visiting UofL 73-64 on Jan. 22, the second of three straight losses by the Cards, who easily dispatched visiting St. John's 72-58 on Feb. 14. But, as everybody has said, this is a wide-open tournament, and it took overtime for Villanova to beat visiting St. John's 98-86 on Jan. 2.
