Sources around the University of Louisville have confirmed A.D. Tom Jurich is in the final stages of a deal with Tulsa head coach Steve Kragthorpe. CardinalSports.com has more on this breaking news story.

UofL officials are preparing a big release for later today on the Cardinals' new coach. Amazingly, it was just 9 p.m. last night when former head coach Bobby Petrino told players he's leaving the school.

Kragthorpe just his fourth year as the Head Football Coach at The University of Tulsa. Tulsa was in charge of the most dramatic turnaround in college football just a few years back, and has led the Golden Hurricanes to three bowls in just four seasons.

In 2005, Kragthorpe led Tulsa to a championship in the program's first year as a member of Conference USA.
