USC offers 2012 two-sport standout
Two talented brothers have taken two different paths toward college. Elk Grove (Calif.) sophomore Arik Armstead will have his choice of scholarships in a year.
In 2007, his brother Armond entered the second semester of his junior year with a lone scholarship offer from San Diego State.
After hitting the camp circuit that summer, Armond eventually earned scholarship offers from Washington, Cal UCLA and USC. Big brother is now a 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive end for Monte Kiffin's 4-3 defense at USC.
Friday, Arik was given the opportunity to follow in Armond's footsteps as a Trojan.
