Louisville coach Rick Pitino landed his top point guard choice after a weekend visit.
Junior college point guard Chris Jones committed to Louisville Monday morning.
"Well, my recruiting process is over you guys," Jones tweeted. "I will be at Louisville next year."
Jones has been Louisville's top target in the 2013 class after UofL cut ties with Anthony "Cat" Barber after last weekend's visit. Jones will join the Cardinals next summer and could take over the starting spot after Peyton Siva graduates.
"I (want to) thank God and family and friends and coaches for support," Jones tweeted.
Jones joins a pair of guards in Louisville's 2013 class. Four-star lefty Anton Gill is the No. 12 shooting guard in the nation. Four-star combo guard Terry Rozier signed with Louisville in the 2012 class, but didn't qualify and is spending this season at Hargrave Military Academy. Rozier has not yet been re-ranked in the 2013 class, but he was a Top 100 player in the 2012 class.
Louisville won Jones over offers from several dozen schools. Jones visited Kansas, Oklahoma State, Baylor and Florida State before picking Louisville. Jones, the top player at Northwest Florida State, has been rated the best point guard in the junior college ranks.
Originally from Memphis, Jones was the No. 47 ranked player in the 2011, signed a National Letter-of-Intent with Tennessee during his senior season.
