The Big East champion Louisville men's basketball team will be the No. 1 overall seed in the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

The Cardinals landed the most geographically favorable draw in the tournament, starting out with second and third round games in Lexington, Ky., before advancing to Indianapolis for the Sweet 16 and Elite 8.

The Cardinals will play the winner of the play-in game - North Carolina A&T (19-16) and Liberty (15-20). After the 16-seed showdown, Louisville will take on the winner of 8th-seeded Colorado State (25-8) and 9th-seeded Missouri (23-10).

UofL would likely face either No. 4 seed Saint Louis (27-6) or No. 5 seed Oklahoma State (24-8) in the Sweet 16 in Indianapolis. Those teams will face No. 13 seed New Mexico State (24-10) and No. 12 seed Oregon (26-8) respectively in the first round in San Jose, Calif.

On the other side of Louisville's Midwest bracket is No. 2 seeded Duke (27-5) and No. 3 seeded Michigan State (25-8) two of the toughest teams in the country.
