Busy weekend for Middleton

Gadsden, Ala., defensive tackle Finesse Middleton had a busy weekend.

On Saturday the 5-foot-11, 255-pounder was attending the Mississippi State spring game and the following day claimed defensive line MVP honors at the Badger Sports Combine in Oxford, Ala.

Middleton has visited Starkville several times this spring and Saturday gave him the opportunity to experience a game-like atmosphere at Davis Wade Stadium.

"I liked it," Middleton said. "I could get used to it and could really see myself playing there. It was fun and was just like being around family being around the coaches. We went into the locker room and was around some of the players. It was fun. The only thing was it was like 40 or 50 degrees. It was cold. It was pretty fun. They took us into the locker room before the game and showed us how they do before the game."

Middleton was not the only Titan player to visit MSU over the weekend. Three-star wide receiver teammate B.J. Hammond was also on-hand and the duo have discussed playing for the Bulldogs together.
