No rush for Blanks

Auburn hosted approximately 25 of its top 2012 targets for Big Cat III over Memorial Day Weekend, but North Florida Christian cornerback Travis Blanks wasn't one of them.

It wasn't that the Rivals100 prospect from Tallahassee wasn't invited.

"I just already had plans," he said.

Blanks, rated the No. 27 overall recruit by Rivals, took an unofficial visit to Miami that weekend instead. It was one of many stops Blanks has made at programs around the South this summer and more are in the works. He leaves Tuesday for Clemson and will be there for three days for a camp.

Blanks also plans a return trip to Auburn, although he isn't sure it will be before the end of the summer.

"I'll probably take an official visit to Auburn during the season," he said.

Blanks, 6-foot-1, 195 pounds, may not visit Auburn this summer, but he continues to stay in touch with Auburn area recruiter Curtis Luper. The two talk on a weekly basis, said Blanks.....
