Caleb enjoys Morgantown

Midlothian (Va.) Clover Hill athlete Joel Caleb took his final official visit to West Virginia this weekend and now has a little over a week to make his final decision. How did his trip to Morgantown compare to previous trips to Ohio State and Virginia Tech?

"The visit went really good, I had a good time," said the 6-foot-2, 201-pounder. "I was hosted by Geno Smith which was cool and he told me how badly they needed wide receivers. They are losing three in this senior class and three more after next year so the chance to play early is there."

Caleb also met with the coaches.

"Coach Dawson is my recruiting coach and my position coach so I spent a lot of time with him and I really liked coach Holgorsen," he said. "I liked the atmosphere too, it was my first time down there and we went to a basketball game on Saturday night and I got to see the whole campus. Overall it was a great visit. I got to meet a lot of the new offensive coaches and they told me how they planned to use me."

Caleb is now done with his official visits having taken only three. He will not start to compare the schools to make his decision.

"I'm going to announce on Signing Day," he said. "I'm not really sure what time it will be or anything yet."

Is there a leader between the three schools?

"No, I liked all three of my visits and each one felt comfortable in its own way," he said. "West Virginia was a great feel, Ohio State felt just like home to me and I've been to Virginia Tech a lot so I have a familiarity with them. It will come to to where I think I can play and where I think I can win."

Caleb, ranked as the No. 3 player in the state of Virginia and No. 84 overall in the country, will host coaches from all three schools this week.

"I'm not sure when they'll be coming in yet, but they all said they'd swing by," he said. "I have to look at my schedule and see who's coming when. This will be my last chance to ask any questions so this week will be important."
