Shooting woes mar last tune-up

The No. 2 Louisville Cardinals didn't get much of a test from cross-town foe Bellarmine. The Cardinals won 65-46 as the Cardinals' terrible three-point shooting provided the game's only suspense.

Louisville sprinted to a 32-12 in the first half on the strength of 22 points in the paint, but they finished the first half 0 for 10 from beyond the arc.

Because Louisville missed its last four threes in its previous exhibition last week against Pikeville College, UofL ended the first half having not made a three in 35:47.

The shooting woes continued into the second half. As Louisville coasted to an easy win, the clanked threes kept adding up. UofL missed its first eight threes in the second half before junior George Mason transfer Luke Hancock hit a three with 4:04 left in the second half.

UofL finished the game 1-19 from three-point range, despite shooting 47 percent from the field overall.
