Cards land new Ohio commit

Hamilton Township athlete Micky Crum made his pick while visiting his future home Saturday. Crum committed to Louisville coach Charlie Strong less than an hour before the UofL spring game began.

Crum, a 6-foot-4, 212-pound tight end/linebacker, is a three-star prospect who has offers from Ohio, Western Michgian and Bowling Green. He confirmed his commitment to Louisville via text at noon on Saturday, just an hour before kickoff of the Spring Game.

When asked what made his pick, Crum said Louisville's head coach made his pick easy.

"Coach Strong, he's the man," Crum said. "Very passionate. The city and the place their heading (the ACC)."

Crum is the fourth commitment for Strong in the class of 2014. He is the second commitment in the last 48 hours.
