Pitino wins ESPY for Best Coach

Louisville coach Rick Pitino has had a heck of a year. Inducted into the Hall of Fame while coaching his team to back-to-back Final Fours, Pitino's team won the NCAA title.

On Wednesday night, Pitino collected the ESPY award for Best Coach.

Pitino, who was in MIlwaukee recruiting, wasn't on hand at the ceremony to receive the award. He sent three players, Peyton Siva, Russ Smith and Wayne Blackshear, in his place.

"What a great choice- is that not a brilliant coaching job by a team that wasn't loaded with high NBA draft picks" ESPN's Skip Bayless said after Pitino was announced as the winner.
