CSZ: Scott on Sportscenter and top games

LOUISVILLE COMMIT IS TOP PLAY ON SPORTSCENTER
L.J. Scott is a running back for Marion Harding High School in Marion, OH. Last Friday in his game, he made this amazing play for the touchdown, which was called back because you can not hurdle a defender in high school football in Ohio unless they are going down to the turf. Scott then went to twitter to ask people from his town to tweet his play to SportsCenter using the hashtag #SCTop10, and with the help of people in Marion and the great fans of Louisville that took notice, his play not only made the top 10, but it was #1.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL'S WEEK 5 GAMES FOR THE TOP 10
Every week I have been posting the games for each team in the Top 10 of the USA Today/Coaches poll since that is the one that figures into the BCS rankings. We know with Louisville's schedule this season, they will need plenty of help from other teams to help them gain spots in the polls, especially since a 72-0 victory is reason to lose a spot apparently. Even with the Cards off this week, there are plenty of games for Cards fans to watch for. One Top 10 team is guaranteed to go down, and a couple others play ranked teams as well. Also, there is a huge game when it comes to Louisville's strength of schedule. Check out the games for the Top 10 teams here. http://cardinalsportszone.com/2013/09/24/college-footballs-week-5-games-for-the-top-10/

BASKETBALL RECRUITING ROUNDUP
Earlier this week, Steve Rummage posted some recruiting news for Louisville fans on CSZ. First off, top 5 center Chinanu Onuaku recently cut his list down to Louisville and Miami. Many believed that Maryland would be the biggest competition for the Cards to land Onuaku, so with them now out of it, that is great news for UofL. He may not wait very long to announce his decision, so the 2014 class just may be gaining a new member soon.

Also, JUCO point guard Sam Cassell Jr., son of former NBA player Sam Cassell, will be on UofL's campus this weekend. UConn, Missouri, and Marquette are also interested in Cassell Jr. Joining him on campus this weekend will be 4-star commit Jaylen Johnson.

BILAL POWELL HAS HUGE DAY FOR JETS
Former Card Bilal Powell has emerged as the feature back for the New York Jets. His career high in rushing yards for a game was 78 yards last year against the Jaguars. He demolished that last Sunday when he rushed for 149 yards on 27 carries in the 27-20 win for the Jets over the Bills. He also caught 2 passes for 9 yards. It is great to see how far he has come in his career. Why not take a look back at one of his best moments at Louisville?
