An early enrollee out of Marion Harding High in Ohio, L.J. Scott was a 4.58 GPA student and is the type of back who could flourish in Bobby Petrino's system. The 6-foot, 215-pounder can be a single back and has the size to block effectively. The No. 41 running back in the nation, according to rivals.com, Scott was rated No. 32 overall in Ohio and the No. 3 running back in the Buckeye State.
He rushed for over 2,500 yards and 31 all-purpose touchdowns his last two high school seasons. Scott picked Louisville in June before his senior season over offers from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan State, Indiana and others. After committing to the Cardinals, he had a video of one of his runs go viral on Youtube. SportsCenter showed the clip of him hurdling a defender.
Scott on Louisville: "I'm very excited to get on campus early. The atmosphere is just incredible and something you want to be around as you really start to figure out who you are on your own. Football wise, it'll give me that step ahead I need to see the field as early as possible."
