Louisville landed another wide receiver signee in former Wisconsin commit Cornelius Sturghill. The speedy athlete committed to the Badgers after his official visit on the 24th, but still took a visit on the 31st to see Louisville.
He had other offers from Vanderbilt, UCLA, Purdue, and Mississippi State. He was listed as a Wisconsin commit after his Louisville visit, but Sturghill said that he wasn't really a Badgers commit after the visit.
Mike Singer's take: I got the sense that distance was a big factor for Sturghill as he's located in Tennessee. He also spent most of his high school career playing wide receiver, and it seemed he preferred to play on offense rather than defense. The Badgers wanted to bring Sturghill in as a cornerback. This is a big pick up for Louisville as they add their third receiver signee to the class.
