RCS Dallas: What to watch for

MORE: Rivals100 | Rivals250 | RCS Headquarters

The Rivals Camp Series Presented by Under Armour swings through talent-rich Texas this weekend, with stops in Dallas on Saturday and Houston on Sunday. The No. 1 prospect in the states of Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma all plan to be in Dallas, and there are 16 Rivals250 athletes expected to attend. Here are five things to watch for as prospects gather at DeSoto High School in Dallas for what should be some highly competitive action.

Big battles in the trenches

The big boys in the trenches will be tested in a big way with plenty of star power on both sides of the ball. Five-star Keller (Texas) offensive tackle and LSU commitment Maea Teuhema leads the way for the offensive line group, which also includes Rivals100 offensive guards Jalin Barnett, from Lawton (Okla.), and Oklahoma commit Josh Wariboko, from Oklahoma City Casady. Teuhema is joined at offensive tackle by Flower Mound (Texas) Marcus Rivals250 standout Keaton Sutherland and Conway (Ark.) standout and Arkansas commitment Colton Jackson.

Their defensive counterparts are just as impressive. Rivals100 defensive tackles Daylon Mack, a Texas A&M commitment, and Darrion Daniels lead a group which also includes Texas commitment Bryce English, TCU commitment Joseph Broadnax, and Dallas Skyline standout Zach Abercrumbia. At defensive end, Ennis (Texas) Rivals250 James Lockhart and Arkansas commitment Daytrieon Dean headline a group which also includes Texas commitment Charles Omenihu. Keep an eye on 2016 Arkansas defensive linemen McTelvin Agim, John Tate, and Austin Capps as well. All of them already hold SEC offers.

Plenty of talent at QB

Now a Rivals Camp veteran, Rivals100 quarterback Jarrett Stidham, of Stephenville (Texas), arrives in Dallas as the nation's No. 1 dual threat quarterback. Ready to challenge Stidham as top signal caller in the region will be Arkansas commitment Ty Storey, who is currently the No. 4 Pro-Style Quarterback in the class of 2015. Mesquite (Texas) West Mesquite four-star Chason Virgil will also provide some top-flight competition, and Southlake (Texas) Carroll quarterback Ryan Agnew is looking to turn a few heads of his own.

A couple of Kansas quarterbacks also plan to make their presence known as well. Kansas State commitment Alex Delton was one of the top performers at the Rivals250 Underclassmen Challenge last July, and Shawnee Mission (Kan.) Bishop Miege's Ryan Willis is rising up the ranks. Keep an eye on Arizona 2016 commitment Shea Patterson and DeSoto (Texas) 2016 Tristen Wallace. Patterson has picked up offers from Alabama, Auburn, California, and Ole Miss in the last week and Wallace is one of the more intriguing prospects in Texas for the 2016 class.

Playmakers all around

Quarterbacks will have plenty of targets on Saturday. Cedar Hill (Texas) wide receiver DaMarkus Lodge jumped onto the national scene at last year's Dallas stop after earning offensive skill MVP honors. Now he returns as a Rivals100 standout with offers from across the country. Dallas Skyline's Carlos Strickland will be another big target for quarterbacks on the outside and he will be joined by Jaelan Austin, La'Michael Pettway, Dahu Green, and A.D. Miller, who hold plenty of offers of their own.

Then there are guys like James Proche, Ryan Newsome, Akilian Butler, and TCU commitment Jarrison Stewart, and we haven't even touched the tight ends, which include four-star Will Gragg, 2016 standout Kaden Smith, Sam Tecklenburg, and Josh Moore.

RBs vs. LBs should be fun

The running backs and linebackers will provide some interesting matchups. The potential matchup of Rivals100s Ronald Jones II and Malik Jefferson is definitely going to be high on the list of must-watch events. Rivals250 running back JaMycal Hasty is sure to provide some shake-and-bake moments and do not sleep on guys like Texas commitment Jordan Stevenson, Aca'Cedric Ware, and Ole Miss commitment Rawleigh Williams.

The 2016 class will be well-represented too by McAllen (Texas) Memorial's Trevor Speights and Norman (Okla.) North's Quan Hogan. Linebacker will also pack some punch outside of Jefferson with Rivals250 backer Anthony Wheeler, Richard Moore, and Clay Johnston a few to watch as well as 2017 Mississippi State commitment Anthony Hines.

Don't sleep on the DBs

The wide receiver group will draw plenty of attention and rightfully so, but the defensive backs also pack some punch. A couple of Rivals250 standouts lead the way. Oklahoma City (Okla.) Midwest safety Will Sunderland and Gilmer (Texas) cornerback Kris Boyd have shown big-time ability and enter the event as two of the best in the country. Oklahoma commitment Jamile Johnson and his Dallas South Oak Cliff teammate Prentice McKinney will be two to watch, as will Mesquite (Texas) West Mesquite duo Josh Butler and 2016 Bailey Phillips.

Waco (Texas) Midway's Kahlil Haughton, Cedar Hill (Texas) three-star Darrell Miller, Tyler (Texas) John Tyler's Isaac Warren, and Arkansas State commitment Dre Greenlaw are a few more who will be sure to draw attention. They will have their hands full on Saturday, but these guys are ready to show why they are all highly coveted by college coaches.
