Jalan Sowell wasn't the biggest name recruit at Louisville's junior day last Saturday. The under-the-radar prospect has Louisville's attention though.

Sowell, a class of 2018 athlete prospect from Mount Juliet, Tennessee, raved about his time at Louisville.

"I thought the Louisville visit was amazing," Sowell said. "Some of the best highlights were getting to know the coaches personally and learning how to balance your school work and also football at the same time. Another highlight were the facilities; I was very impressed with them."

The junior day visitors watched Louisville knock off Duke in a thrilling game.

"The atmosphere at the basketball game showed me all the love and support Louisville has from their community and fan base," said Sowell. "I can't wait to get back on campus."

Sowell has been receiving interest from Louisville, Memphis, Virginia Tech, and Tennessee.

The 5-foot-9, 150-pound speedy athlete will be keeping in close contact with the UofL staff moving forward.

"They were just saying stuff like they want me to attend camps, come to spring practice and also spring game, and just to stay in close touch," Sowell said.
