ACC: How many get in? Nine.

The ACC has the mantle of the deepest conference in college basketball, but how many ACC teams will make the NCAA Tournament this season? I'll say NINE.

EASILY IN THE TOURNAMENT

The league has six clear leaders - teams who are gunning for top four seeds in the NCAA Tournament.

Louisville (22-5, 10-4) and North Carolina (23-5, 11-3) will square off Wednesday night in what could be a battle for a No. 1 seed.

Duke (22-5, 10-4) has moved into contention for a 2 or 3-seed in the NCAA Tournament with a recent run of wins.

Florida State (21-6, 9-5) was a 2-seed when the committee released its pairings a week ago, but the Seminoles look like a 4-seed right now.

Virginia (18-8, 8-6) has the two wins over Louisville, but hasn't looked great in recent weeks and are playing like a 5-seed.

Notre Dame (21-7, 10-5) has won four-straight games and appears to be have two more wins coming up next with Georgia Tech and Boston College on the schedule before a season-ending trip to Louisville.

Those six are in.

BUBBLE TEAMS

But what about Miami, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Wake Forest and Georgia Tech?

Virginia Tech (18-8, 7-7) - The Hokies are currently No. 35 in the RPI and have a Top 40 KenPom rating as well. They should be in, but the .500 league record could be problematic for the Selection Committee. Verdict? IN.

Wake Forest (15-12, 6-9) - Currently the No. 38 team in the RPI, the Deacons have a losing league record and don't have a lot of out-of-conference wins. Their best win on the season is a win over No. 45 RPI Miami. Verdict? OUT.

Miami (18-8, 8-6) - The record screams in, the league record is good, but the Hurricanes aren't in the Top 40 in the RPI and are 34th in the KenPom. That win over North Carolina back in January might be the difference between in or out. Verdict: IN.

Syracuse (16-12, 8-7) - The Orange have a bad record and an even-worse RPI (86th on Sunday), but they are 8-7 in the league and have better wins than just about every other Bubble team (except Georgia Tech). Wins over Florida State, Virginia, Clemson, Miami... that just might be enough. The trouble? They could close the regular-season with six-straight losses. Verdict? OUT.

Georgia Tech (15-11, 7-7) - The Yellow-Jackets have a .500 league record and a sparkling 6-1 record at home. The drawback? They only have one decent win out of conference (VCU) and they have an RPI in the 70s. Wins over VCU, North Carolina, Florida State and Notre Dame should be enough to sneak them in, especially if they handle business at home vs. NC State and Pitt and win one of the two road games, at Notre Dame or at Syracuse. Verdict? IN.
