CSZ: Indiana, Brohm updates plus a DVD deal

The CSZ crew's weekly notebook includes a decade-dormant rivalry coming back to life, an update with Brian Brohm, football Cardinals on Twitter and a nearly-half-price deal on the NCAA Championship DVD.
CATCHING UP WITH BRIAN BROHM

Earlier this week we caught up with Cardinal great Brian Brohm. He told us what he is up to now and gave his opinion on the 2013 Louisville Cardinals.
Here is a little of what he had to say...
"I am currently playing with the Hamilton Tiger Cats of the CFL," Brohm said. "The CFL is really a quarterback-driven league that depends heavily on the pass. I am getting used to playing with only 3 downs, 12 players, multiple men in motion, and a much larger field."

CARDS AND HOOSIERS TO PLAY AT MSG
According to an article by the IndyStar, the Louisville Cardinals will finally face the Indiana Hoosiers again in basketball in the 2014-15 season. It will be apart of the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden on December 9, 2014.
The teams have not played each other since the 2002-2003 season. The article does note that there is a contract for this game, but until ESPN finalizes the game, it is premature to call it official. This is still way more progress than we have seen before, so it should be very exciting if it happens.
FOOTBALL CARDS ON TWITTER
For some reason, people sometimes like to create fake twitter accounts of athletes. For a while, there was a fake Teddy Bridgewater.
Earlier this week, there was a fake Michael Dyer, even getting shout-outs from his teammates who did not know at the time that it was not really him. So what we did was create a page with the real twitter accounts of the players.
It is pretty up to date, but at anytime players can start an account or delete their current one. But this one is pretty accurate for right now: Football Cards on Twitter
RECRUITING UPDATE
What a week for coach Charlie Strong. It's no secret that Charlie is looking for more depth on the interior DL, and this week he got just that. On Tuesday the Cards landed a verbal commitment from BIG-TIME DT Poona Ford out of South Carolina. Ford chose the Cards over SEC powers South Carolina and Tennessee as well as offers from Ohio State and many other of the nation's elite.
When asked what Louisville fans should expect, Ford replied, "I'm a monster!"
Ford was one of Louisville's top targets at the DL position, but the good news wasn't done there. The next day Charlie and company landed former Virginia commit three-star DT Chris Nelson out of Lakeland, Fla.
At 6-foot-3, 280 pounds, Nelson will add much-needed size for the Cards up front heading into the ACC. Nelson chose the Cards over offers from Nebraska, Virginia, UK, Iowa and many others.
Rick Pitino and the basketball program also received some good news when 2014 Center Myles Turner cut his list from 25 to 8. The Cards were on that list along with Kansas, UK, Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma State, Duke and Arizona. Turner is the No. 6 player in the nation according to Rivals.com and would give the Cards the big man that they have been looking for. This one is definitely one to watch in the coming months.
