In-state lineman talks UofL commitment

When CardinalSports.com talked with Belfry (Ky.) offensive guard Cole Bentley after receiving his Louisville offer two weeks ago, he said that he would be committing on June 12th.

Bentley stuck with his word, and chose the Cardinals over about twenty five other schools.

"I told coach Klenakis and coach [Bobby] Petrino [about my commitment]," Bentley said. "They were both very very excited.

"[They] told me they cannot wait to get me on campus and want me to early enroll, which is something I have been feeling very strongly about."

Bentley's last visit to Louisville was back in February.

"They are a winning program and are on the verge of doing very, very great," he said. "There's a possibility of early playing time."

Now that Bentley has committed, he sees himself keeping a solid pledge to the Cardinals.

"Very strong. I feel like I have found my place at UofL," he said.

Bentley is the eighth commitment for Louisville's 2017 football recruiting class. The class is rated 56th nationally. Bentley is a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com.
