Price has left the program

Junior-to-be center Zach Price is no longer with the University of Louisville basketball program per his Twitter feed.
Price, who played sparingly during the last two seasons as Gorgui Dieng's backup, has moved on.

Price tweeted this message earlier today: "It was truly a pleasure playing for this university."
Then he tweeted: "Cardinal fans are the best fans this country has to offer for any college sport, I appreciate the love, and God bless you all!"
When asked about Price's status, Pitino said he hadn't spoken to Price, but noted that "I'd say he's gone."
Price was expected to compete for playing time with newcomers Mangok Mathiang and Akoy Agau and veteran Stephan Van Treese in the post. Sophomore Montrezl Harrell also has the ability to play inside for the Cardinals.
"If he goes it's not a big deal," Pitino said. "You're not going to hold onto everybody. If he does leave we wish him well and hope he has great success. I would say he's gone because our players don't tweet, so that's a good indication. I spoke to him by text because he missed some summer classes, so that's (another) indication."
