Fairfield, Ohio (Fairfield)
Committed: 6/27/13
A 6-foot-6, 321-pound offensive tackle prospect, Danny Burns was named the rivals.com Offensive Line MVP at the Cincinnati Under Armor Combine. Burns is rated the No. 36 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 21 overall prospect in Ohio. He's the No. 4 offensive tackle in the Buckeye State. A three-star prospect, Burns chose Louisville over offers from Illinois, Iowa State, Maryland, Nebraska, Pitt, West Virginia and many others. He committed in mid-summer after camping at Louisville and never looked back. After the coaching change, Burns told CardinalSports.com's Mike Singer, "You commit to a school and not a coach."
Burns on Louisville: "I just think that Louisville is the place to be right now - for anything. Coming off the 'Year of the Cardinal' ... I found out all of the things that they have going on with their academics. I just can't find a single flaw. I love every bit of it."
