Stripling suspended

Louisville running back George Stripling has been suspended for the University of Louisville's Friday night game against Utah for a violation of team rules and policies. Stripling's suspension was announced Wednesday morning by University officials.
No further information has been released at this time. Stripling is the team's second leading rusher with 177 yards and a touchdown this season. He's been Louisville's premier speed back, offering a change of pace from bigger backs Anthony Allen (6-1, 240) and Brock Bolen (6-0, 237).

Stripling is the third player in a week to be the subject of disciplinary action by coach Steve Kragthorpe. The University announced the dismissal of linebacker Willie Williams after an arrest for marijuana possession, tampering with physical evidence and driving without a license on Wednesday, Sept. 26.
Then on Monday, Oct. 1, Kragthorpe announced the indefinite suspension of wide receiver JaJuan Spillman for undisclosed reasons.
