Kidston strands another Texas runner in the 2nd. Louisville at bat now in the bottom of the 2nd.

3 up 3 down for the Cards in the bottom of the second

Thanks for the reports. Keep them coming. Traveling and these updates are my only access to game information.

Leadoff double to start a third for Texas.
6/16 3:43 PM | IP: Logged
Surprisingly Texas did not but the runner over the third. But they did get a chopper to the pitcher that did the same thing. One out man on third.
6/16 3:47 PM | IP: Logged
Runner tags on a fly ball to left 1 to nothing Texas.
6/16 3:48 PM | IP: Logged
2 out hit to right. for Texas
6/16 3:50 PM | IP: Logged
Strike out to end the top of the third. One to nothing Texas.

I see no reason to bunt this early in the game. Let the players hit! You bunt him over late in the game. Sturgeon wasted his a bat in the first acting like he was going to bunt.

Cards down 1-0 in the bottom of the third.

6/16 3:56 PM | IP: Logged
Lucas with two out hit for the Cards.
6/16 3:58 PM | IP: Logged
Two hard hits in the third, but both snagged by Texas infielders. Cards get their second hit with Zach Lucas to left field.
6/16 3:58 PM | IP: Logged
Gibson draws a walk. First and second with 2 outs.
6/16 4:00 PM | IP: Logged
Lucas sprints to steal second, but it was ball four for Gibson. Runners on first and second with two outs for Sturgeon.

Thank you, CardMark for the updates. Helps me out.
6/16 4:00 PM | IP: Logged
First pitch to Sturgeon was a ball and now the coach is visiting the mound.
6/16 4:01 PM | IP: Logged
Ground out to third to end the third inning.
6/16 4:03 PM | IP: Logged
Think Cole swung at ball three....
6/16 4:06 PM | IP: Logged
Not a great start. Too many fly balls already, men left on base and Kidston has been hit hard. I hope he settles in.
6/16 4:07 PM | IP: Logged
Sac-bunt moves the runners to second and third with 1 out. This is Texas baseball right now. They lead the nation in sacs.
6/16 4:11 PM | IP: Logged
2nd & 3rd with 1 out for TX.
6/16 4:11 PM | IP: Logged
Hard-hit ball in the infield. E6 on Sutton Whiting. Texas up 2-0 now with runners on the corners and 1 out in the 4th.
6/16 4:13 PM | IP: Logged
Error on Whiting as run scores & runner gets 1st. :-(
6/16 4:13 PM | IP: Logged
Sad. Still hoping for the best but...just too many mistakes.
6/16 4:16 PM | IP: Logged
Strike out for out #2 on change up.
6/16 4:17 PM | IP: Logged
Texas adds a run in the 4th, but Louisville is able to get out of the inning with two runners still on base. Harrington and Sparger in pen.
6/16 4:18 PM | IP: Logged
Ground out to second baseman ends the top of the 4th. Come on CARDS let's get some runs.
6/16 4:19 PM | IP: Logged
Pop foul out. Strike out & ground out to 3rd. Going to 5th.
6/16 4:23 PM | IP: Logged
They interviewef Dan McDonald between innings and he said we need more runners on base because this pitcher is different with men on base. Was not happy about bottom of 4th....too aggressive I Think.
6/16 4:27 PM | IP: Logged
If the plate discipline doesn't get any better this will be another two and done! Still optimistic with how clutch this team has been but I'm getting a little uneasy with the sloppy play! 5 innings to turn it around!
6/16 4:29 PM | IP: Logged
Two errors in the top of the fifth lead to another run for Texas. 3-0 TX going to bottom of 5th. We need some crooked numbers.
6/16 4:34 PM | IP: Logged
Three or more runs will be tough to manufacture today.  Errors are killers.  A couple of heads down our there.  Hoping that the Cards can regroup.
6/16 4:34 PM | IP: Logged
Bad throw to first second another Texas runner home. Rough inning for Zach Lucas. Cardinals down 3-0 in the 5th.
6/16 4:34 PM | IP: Logged
Man-o-man. I can hear the music in the background. Can you hear it? Same music from the Bad News Bears when they played like slop. Still clinging to hope but very, very disappointed in what these guys are doing right now.
6/16 4:35 PM | IP: Logged
Agree bardman.....pathetic play both offense and defensively. How is it we only hit catchable fly balls or directly at an infielder? And the there are the multiple errors  in the same inning.....in a CWS game. There is no tomorrow! Sad.
6/16 4:40 PM | IP: Logged
This team just don't have the same feel it did in the Regional and Super, whether it's because those games were at home or the pressure of the CWS, either way so far we're not the same team, pitching struggles, fielding mistakes, clutch hitting or lack thereof did follow us from the Regional and Super.

Still time to make something happen, C'mon CARDS !
6/16 4:43 PM | IP: Logged
It's not over yet. I feel a rally coming - go cards
