A must-get Florida prospect remains high on the Cardinals and even though he is ranked as a 2-star prospect, he has been a hot topic from several programs in their 2017 recruiting class.
Michael Scott is a 6-foot-3, 220-pound outside linebacker from North Florida Christian High School in Tallahassee, Florida and is one prospect that several programs are hoping to grab for 2017.
Scott holds over 25 offers currently from programs all-around the country but admits that Louisville is sitting pretty in his mind as of right now, as CardinalSports.com spoke with him about the offer and much more.
CardinalSports.com: What has been new in your recruitment? What schools have been showing the strongest interest, and what camps have you been able to attend?
Michael Scott: “I haven’t been to any camps but went on some big tours. I saw Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati, Purdue, Illinois and Memphis. A lot of other schools still showing me love though.”
CS: What has been going on with you Louisville, and what have you been hearing from them?
MS: “I really like the setup I saw at Louisville. They have everything off the field handled and their facilities are top notch. They just say I have a lot of potential and the ability to make plays in their system and that they really want me.”
CS: What stands out facility wise? Football-wise?
MS: “They play a special brand of football, allowing my position group to play free. And the facilities are all brand new and only getting better, especially the dorms. They are high on my list.”
CS: What other schools remain high on your list?
MS: “I won’t say.”
CS: What will be some deciding factors that go into your decision when that time comes?
MS: “Fit and family. How I fit in their system and the family atmosphere the school provides. And lots of prayer.”
CS: Do you have a time frame of when you may want to decide?
MS: “Before my senior year.”
Louisville already has Alabama prospect Tadarrius Patterson committed for 2017 but Scott continues to remain high on the Cardinals, as they look to solidify their defense with solid linebackers for the future.
