Javonte Bagley commits to Louisville

Vero Beach (Fla.) wide receiver Javonte Bagley is the latest commit for Bobby Petrino's Louisville Cardinals. Bagley becomes the 19th commitment of the class.
"I'm very excited," the 6-foot-3 receiver said. "The reason I committed is because I feel like I have a been opportunity at Louisville. I'm very excited right now and I just feel like it's the best place for me."

"I actually talked to the head coach (when I committed) and he was very excited. I talked to a bunch of different coaches - I talked to the receivers coach. They're all excited about it."
Bagley is familiar with the coaching staff from when defensive backs coach Terrell Buckley was at Akron, and was also recruited by Petrino's staff at Western Kentucky.
"They stuck with me throughout the entire process. I guess they got an open spot for me. It's always been my dream to play in the ACC. It's going to be crazy. I'm fired up about it."
Bagley played in a spread offense at Vero Beach High School, and is looking forward about making an easy transition into Bobby Petrino's offense.
"Oh yeah - that's big to me. We ran a spread offense and I know Louisville is going to get the ball around a lot. I'm very excited."
Bagley was unable to take an official visit to Louisville, but is still hoping to get up to see the campus after he signs.
"I've been on the phone with the coaches for the past couple of days. We've been getting to know each other better since I haven't been able to get up there. I'll be up there very soon."
