Jurich not going to USC
Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich was rumored to be a candidate at USC, but he won't be heading out West.
Louisville spokesperson Kenny Klein sent a message just after 5 p.m. today explaining, "Tom is not talking to anyone about any job. USC may have come up because he was born and raised there (in Southern California), but there is nothing to it."
Jurich and University President Dr. James Ramsey announced a post-season ban for the men's basketball team Friday during a news conference at the school. The ban was in response to an ongoing investigation into allegations stemming from a local madam's tell-all book about her relationship with former Louisville basketball staffer Andre McGee.
Jurich is in his 18th year on the Louisville campus. During that time the Cardinal program has gone from a Conference USA also-ran to a C-USA champion then a Big East champion then to the American Athletic Conference and now in the ACC.
Under Jurich's watch, Louisville has been to three Final Fours, two BCS games, three College World Series, a College Cup, two women's Final Fours and produced a half-dozen NCAA Champions.
