Kelsey makes his pick

Gainesville, Fla., inside linebacker Keith Kelsey Jr. announced his pick Monday morning at Gainesville High School.
Last night, on the eve of announcing his decision, Kelsey tweeted: "Tough decision tomorrow. USF, Louisville, Kentucky - show me some love. Great programs."

The highly sought-after prospect took visits the previous three weekends to his favorite schools - USF, Louisville and Kentucky and he made his choice Sunday night.
Kelsey called the Louisville coaches Monday to make his commitment, becoming the 14th commitment in the class of 2013.
Kelsey had asked reporters to wait until his announcement Monday morning, but at 9 his coach tweeted out his pick to FlaVarsity, ESPN and others: "Keith Kelsey to Louisville #CardNation"
Kelsey, who had more than a dozen offers, picked Louisville over finalists USF and Kentucky and other programs like Purdue, Iowa State, Utah, Wake Forest and Duke.
Listed at 6-1, 197 in his recruiting profile, Kelsey has more recently been listed at 6-2, 215. He was a first-team All-State selection as a senior. Kelsey led the Gainesville Hurricanes with 193 tackles and had 6.5 sacks and six forced fumbles. Gainesville finished Florida 6A State Runner-Up and Kelsey had 15 tackles in the 6A title game against Miami Central.
Kelsey had 165 tackles and two fumble recoveries during his junior season and was a third-team Class 6A All-State selection.
Kelsey's father, also Keith Kelsey, played for Florida and was a linebacker for the Gators. Kelsey Sr. had 187 career tackles from 1995-99.
