Louisville starting defensive end was released from the hospital Wednesday morning after an overnight stay due to being the victim of a hit-and-run accident on campus Tuesday.
Mauldin, who was riding a moped at the time without a helmet, was hit by a car and later transported to University Hospital.
The University released a statement on his condition at 11:03 a.m.: "University of Louisville football defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin has been released from Jewish Hospital on Wednesday morning. All of the tests and evaluations continue to be positive.
"He has no serious orthopedic injuries and his game status will be evaluated over the next few days."
