Louisville women taking on Vandy tonight

Off to one of the hottest starts in school history, the 9-0 Louisville women will host Vanderbilt Thursday night.

The No. 4-ranked Cardinals are coming off a dominant 91-56 win over UT-Martin on Tuesday night.

UofL's 9-0 start marks the second best start in program history. They have opened five of the past six seasons with at least a 7-0 start, but UofL's best ever start was 15-0 in 2006-07. That season, they finished the year at 27-8 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Louisville is one of the top teams in the nation in the RPI and are favored to win each of their next three games until a Dec. 17 trip to Kentucky.
