Mack on the lack of practice:
"It shows the important of practice. We've got to figure out how to get better and it starts with being able to practice consistently every single day. It wasn't fun, but like we did against Wisconsin, we have to figure out what was broken."
What Mack told the team after the game:
"I addressed some things we can control, regardless of how much we practiced. Our inability to keep them off the glass in the first 10 minutes. Several from missed free throws. Then our inability to get back in transition. We have to turn the page. We have a good team coming in on Tuesday. We have to stick together."
What went wrong after the first 10 minutes:
"There's so much you're trying to cover in a day. We got hurt trying to trap the post. They were just quicker on the dive. That was a heavy emphasis. Too short of a turnaround for us to be able to implement all of that stuff. The game got away when we started turning it over."
Mack on the effort:
"We probably played hard for the first 8 or 10 minutes. I thought we dropped our heads and felt sorry for ourselves. It's been a whacky three weeks, I'll be honest. We've got a group who wants way more out of this season."
