Petrino shoots down LSU rumors

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson was flanked by Louisville's coaching staff including Bobby Petrino, to Jackson's immediate right.

Louisville coach Bobby Petrino was asked Monday about the rumors surrounding the new opening at LSU after Les Miles was fired.

Petrino: "I’m not interested in going anywhere…. I am very glad to be the coach at the University of Louisville."

Petrino's name has been mentioned among the top candidates for the LSU coaching vacancy along with others like Houston's Tom Herman, former Baylor coach Art Briles and Clemson's Dabo Swinney.

After noting that Louisville has a clear path to a national title through the ACC and Louisville's intent to expand the stadium, Petrino closed his statement with, “This is the job I want and this is where I am going to be."
