In the 1999 season, his senior year, Moreau finished eighth in the NCAA in rushing, averaging 129 yards per game. In a career in where Moreau battled one injury after the next, the work-horse still managed to rush for 2,599 yards and 27 touchdowns during his tenure with the Cards.
While playing the majority of his final season with a broken hand, Moreau reached the century mark seven times during his senior campaign, including a career-high 181 yards against Chattanooga.
Before leaving Louisville, Moreau earned his master's degree in Sports Administration. He was then drafted in the fourth round (115 overall) by the Kansas City Chiefs, where he was the back up to Priest Holmes. In his rookie season, Moreau carried the ball 67 times for a total of 179 yards and four touchdowns. His four scores were the most by a Chief rookie since 1984.
After being waived by the Chiefs, Moreau played brief stints with the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars. During the 2001 season, Moreau saw action in five games for Jacksonville. As a free agent, Moreau was selected in the 16th round of the NFL Europe F.A. Draft.
Now a few hundred miles away from P.J.'s Cardinal Stadium, Moreau has rejoined with former Louisville teammates LaVell Boyd and Mike Watkins on the NFL Europe's Rhein Fire. Since joining the team in March, Moreau has quickly emerged as Rhein's go-to-guy. Just five games into the spring season, Moreau is the Fire's second-leading rusher. To date, he has carried the ball 53 times for 210 yards and one touchdown.
