Chris Mack dips into the transfer market once again to land the commitment of Marshall transfer Jarrod West.

West comes to Louisville after playing four seasons for the Herd, where he started 124 of 126 games.

West is coming off of a season where he averaged 12.5 points and 6 assists per clip.

The 5-foot-11 guard shot just under 41 percent from three-point range this season for Marshall, something that Louisville desperately needs.

West is Marshall’s all-time steals leader, and has collected numerous Conference USA accolades over the course of his career.

The new Louisville commit was 2-time Conference USA All-Defense and a 2-time All-CUSA team member at Marshall.

West joins a backcourt that is filled with uncertainty as Louisville awaits decisions from David Johnson and Carlik Jones.

West can play the one or two, and will bring much-needed ball handling and experience to the Louisville backcourt.

His ability to knock down threes could be huge next season as well.

Welcome to Louisville, Jarrod West.
