While the actual work of the NFL Combine is in the interviews, medical reviews and throwing, the measurements can also be key.

Louisville's Lamar Jackson, the 2016 Heisman Trophy winner, is one of the Top 5 quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft. He entered this week's combine facing more scrutiny from scouts, some of whom called him slight, short and not sturdy enough to be a NFL quarterback.

Some of those concerns were put to rest Thursday when he measured in at over 6-foot-2 (and a 1/4!) and 216 pounds. Sam Darnold was 6-3 and 3/8ths and 221 pounds. UCLA's Josh Rosen is 6-4 and 226 pounds and Baker Mayfield is 6-0 and 5/8ths and 215 pounds.

Jackson's combine measurements were almost identical to current NFL quarterbacks Andy Dalton, Mitch Trubisky and Andy Dalton. He was within a few pounds of Aaron Rodgers' measurements as well.

Jackson also fit right in when it came to hand measurement - one of the key factors NFL teams look at to see how a quarterback can handle the football. Jackson's 9.5 inch hands were bigger than Darnold or Mayfield.

The biggest elite QB in the draft, Wyoming's Josh Allen, measured in at 6-4 and 7/8ths and 237 pounds with a 10.1 inch hand.
